I used to think good skincare had to be complicated.
Serums, creams, oils… step after step, product after product. And honestly? Half the time, I still felt like my skin was dry, irritated, or just not where I wanted it to be. My family also had skin dry, sensitive and sometimes the skin would feel irritated.
That’s what led me down a completely new and a different path.
Something simple. Something natural.
That’s when I found beef tallow.
It Wasn’t Love at First Sight
I’ll be honest—when I first heard about putting beef fat on your skin, I questioned it.
It didn’t sound like something you’d find in a “top shelf” skincare routine. And with everything we see online, it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s just hype.
But the more I looked into it, the more it made sense.
Beef tallow isn’t new. It’s actually been used for centuries. Long before modern skincare existed, people were using it to protect and nourish their skin—especially in harsh conditions.
So, I thought I'll it gave a try.
The Difference I Noticed
What stood out to me straight away was how rich and nourishing it felt.
Not in a heavy, greasy way—but in a way that actually felt like it was doing something.
My skin felt:
* More hydrated
* Less irritated
* Softer and calmer overall
And the biggest thing? It stayed that way.
I wasn’t constantly reapplying products or chasing results.
That’s Why, and when I Started Making my own
At that point, I didn’t just want to use it—I wanted to make it properly.
I wanted something:
* Clean
* Simple
* And made with intention
So I started making my own beef tallow skincare.
It comes in a simple tin. Nothing fancy. No over-the-top packaging.
Because for me, it’s not about how it looks—it’s about how it works.
What Makes It So Effective?
One of the reasons I kept coming back to tallow is what it naturally contains.
It’s rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, which all play a role in healthy skin.
Vitamin A - helps support collagen and skin renewal - this is what keeps your skin looking smooth and fresh
Vitamin D - helps repair and strengthen your skin
Vitamin E - protects your skin and keeps it hydrated
Vitamin K - helps calm irritation and improve overall skin tone
It’s a simple combination—but it works.
If You Struggle With Dry Skin…
This is where I noticed the biggest change for myself. My skin was no longer dry nor was it flaky. It was able to nourish my skin, feeling hydrated, protected,and even giving that glow I needed. Even, on those cold day's felt like it had this protective barrier protecting my skin.
Tallow is deeply moisturising. It doesn’t just sit on your skin—it helps lock in hydration and support your skin barrier.
You don’t need much either. A small amount goes a long way.
It’s the kind of product you use and actually feel the difference.
And If Your Skin Is Sensitive
This was a big one for me.
A lot of products out there caused irritation, redness, or breakouts. Switching to something more natural for me made a noticeable difference.
Tallow is incredibly soothing for many people. It works 'with' your skin instead of overwhelming it.
Of course, everyone’s different—so I always recommend doing a patch test—but for me, it helped calm things down in a way other products didn’t.
Let’s Be Real About the Trend
You’ve probably seen tallow all over social media.
People calling it a miracle. Saying it’s the only thing you need.
I don’t see it that way.
I think it’s a powerful, natural option—but it’s not about replacing everything. It’s about simplifying what you use and choosing better ingredients.
That’s it.
Why I Still Use It Today
Out of everything I’ve tried, I keep coming back to this.
Not because it’s trending—but because it works for me.
It’s simple. It’s effective. And it does exactly what I need it to do—especially for dry or sensitive skin.
That’s why I make it.
If You’ve Been Thinking About Trying It…
You don’t need a complicated routine.
Sometimes, going back to something simple is the best thing you can do for your skin.
If you’re dealing with dryness, irritation, or just want something more natural…
This might be worth trying.
A Final Thought
I didn’t expect something this simple to make such a difference.
But it did.
And that’s exactly why I stand behind it.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience and the journey, I wanted to share with you.
